La Soirée Bleue | Diabénile

In November 2025, Maku Dakar presented a selection of his works at La Soirée Bleue, organised by Diabénile, bringing contemporary art and solidarity into dialogue.
Market scenes, portraits and moments of everyday life in Dakar came together in an exhibition reflecting the central themes of his artistic practice: memory, identity and human connection. Through colour and movement, his paintings reveal a vibrant Africa in all its richness and complexity.
Two works exhibited on this occasion, Marché Grand Yoff and Pieds nus, entered Patrick Vieira’s collection. The latter, offered at auction especially for the evening, gave this acquisition a particular significance within the event’s charitable purpose.
The exhibition brought together an artistic practice deeply rooted in human experience and an initiative dedicated to supporting children living with type 1 diabetes in France and Senegal.
