2026
Acrylic on canvas
100 × 80 cm (39.4 × 31.5 in)

Today he fell. Tomorrow, the market will remember him not only as the man who lost, but as Biggy, the fish seller who became a wrestler.

Despite the defeat, he will return stronger.

SMELL THE ART

An encounter between painting and scent.

Through Smell the Art, Maku Dakar explores a new way of experiencing his paintings. Each artwork is paired with one or more carefully selected fragrances, whose olfactory notes echo its colours, atmosphere and emotions. By engaging both sight and smell, this sensory experience invites viewers to discover the artwork beyond the canvas, awakening memories, sensations and personal associations.
