Moving through the crowded marketplace, these children search for what others have left behind. Plastic, metal, bottles, and other discarded objects become valuable to them, not as waste, but as a way to earn a little money.

An encounter between painting and scent.

Through Smell the Art, Maku Dakar explores a new way of experiencing his paintings. Each artwork is paired with one or more carefully selected fragrances, whose olfactory notes echo its colours, atmosphere and emotions. By engaging both sight and smell, this sensory experience invites viewers to discover the artwork beyond the canvas, awakening memories, sensations and personal associations.
